GPA BOND RATING UPGRADED
The Guam Power Authority has received notice from Fitch, a bond rating company, that the Authority’s rating has been upgraded from BB with a negative outlook to a BB with a positive outlook, an improvement since its last review of the Authority and its operations.
“It’s just short of investment grade – but it is a definite indicator that what GPA is doing is right on track,” stated Randy Wiegand, CPA, GPA Chief Financial Officer, “GPA is making clear progress to improve our financial position to acquire a BBB rating to secure better financing options to save money.”
