GPA’s Strategy in the Meter Verification Process
- Conducted meter verification and investigation through field testing/load analysis on 3-phase meters and single phase meters
- Corrected inaccurate/defective meters and completed documentation process in a timely manner for proper adjustments and billing of accounts
- Reviewed internal processes for deficiencies in the work order system and implemented procedures to improve application
- Evaluated current procedures in the installation, removal and preventative maintenance program and adopted procedural changes
- Placed proper controls for system access
- Reviewed and adjusted inappropriately assigned customer accounts
- Corrected estimated navy metering
- Conduct annual review of system losses (ongoing)
GPA considered eight categories in the investigation of unbilled consumption and energy loss:
- 3-phase meter accounts
- Customer Service review of accounts
- JDE unprocessed fail edits exception report for unbilled accounts
- Meter master “KH” field
- Non-registering single & three-phase account meters
- Active accounts w/ rate schedule change
- Unlisted consuming meters
- Typhoon Pongsona work orders/unbilled accounts
