The Software section is responsible for the software application development, design, installation, administration, operation, and maintenance of the PSCC EMS/SCADA software system, which includes testing, maintenance, and updating of all real-time databases, historical and trending data, outage databases, energy production databases and other databases; local area network management and administration; compilation and dissemination of all archived real-time data to various clients; coordination and interaction with other sections pertaining to EMS/SCADA functions; administration of all computerized PSCC security systems; serves as the technical librarian for PSCC and provides on-call 24 hours a day support.
