The Power Systems Control Center (PSCC) manages, monitors, and controls the Island-Wide Power System (IWPS) reliably, economically, and safely 24 hours a day, 7 days a week; designs, installs, operates, upgrades, and maintains GPA's Energy Management System (EMS), Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition system (SCADA), and equipment including: Remote Terminal Units (RTU's), peripherals, application software, and databases.

Performs technical programming, diagnosis, testing, troubleshooting, upgrading, and maintenance of all real-time application hardware and software.
Designs, installs, calibrates, tests, operates, upgrades, and maintains communication systems, computer local area networks, uninterruptible power supply, back-up generators and other conditioning equipment.
Operates, maintains, and upgrades the Meteorological Monitoring Station (MET Tower), the Automated Trouble Call System and the Remote Control System of peaking generation stations.
Dispatches generation units to minimize operating expenses and trouble and line crews to system trouble spots.
Coordinates power system trouble repairs and receives customer calls and outage information from the public as well as provide outage information to the public.
Prepares Outage Reports, Service Reliability Reports, Economic Dispatch Reports, and serves as the Emergency Command Center.
