Dispatch is responsible for managing, controlling, and monitoring the IWPS which includes generation economic dispatching, system events logging, coordinating transmission and distribution operations, responding to and correcting system disturbances, receiving and handling power system trouble calls, crew dispatching to trouble sites, receiving and handling customer complaints, coordinating outage requests from others, and ensuring that power is delivered in the most reliable, economic, and safe manner; provides all the trouble reports and data entry to all outages, power production, hourly system power load, and all other related databases; handles all power system emergency events within GPA; and provides 24 hours a day operation services.
